Religious studies

1

My research interests

The ways in which humans give meaning to lives and deaths of fellow humans and and more-than-humans through practices, rituals, encounters, engagements, and objects

The ways in which lives and deaths are constructed and differences are articulated, encountered and governed in urban and semi-urban environments

The ways in which individual and lived religious orientations become tangible in material and immaterial manners

2

My academic goals

To be a teacher who encourages students to critically reflect upon themselves and others, motivating them to be open and inquisitive

To be a researcher who, through travels and encounters, comes to a better understanding of the ways in which all human and non-human beings construct worlds in different, yet similar ways
